[VIDEO] My Sunday Routine | Getting Organized for the Week

Sundays are probably my FAVORITE day. Why? Because I plan out my week so that I have as little as possible to do on Sunday. I can just focus on enjoying the routines that help me get centered and organized for the week ahead! No more Sunday scaries!

In this video I'll share the routine that I do every single week - how I do weekly planning, weekly blog tasks, weekly photo organization, and more - as well as more ideas for what you can incorporate into YOUR Sunday routine to get the best possible start to the week.

Hope you enjoy!

A Few of My Favorite Links #3

Hey hey hey, happy December! I’m back with the third edition of my series “A few of my favorite links” which shares my favorite things around the Internet recently and whose title MUST be read to the tune of “these are a few of my favorite things” from The Sound of Music.

Click around, explore, and enjoy!

In 2019 I want to record more of my daily life because this video from Lavendaire reminded of how precious memories are.

My favorite type of video transition? The cut (where one clip just changes to the next). For my Chicago video, though, I wanted to challenge myself to try new things, so I watched this tutorial to learn how to do a smooth zoom transition (it was a lot more involved than it looked!).

Tim Kellner’s (4k) clips from traveling in Asia are so stunningly woven with the music I felt like I was in a dream and was reminded of why Asia is at the top of my list for my gap year.

“A short animation about what love is” is the title of this video and there’s not much more I can say to describe it. Just grab a box of tissues, maybe?

Aileen from Lavendaire started a new series called “Get Your Life Together” (which I think we all need help with at one point or another). This particular video is on developing consistent habits. I love that she actually shows you how she’s implementing her tips into her own life. It’s a good reminder that everyone struggles, and no one has it all figured out.

This video, titled “How to Make Your Own Subway Sandwich” is basically a 6-minute roast of Subway and as someone who has gotten kind of sick of Subway sandwiches, I appreciate it. Also, it was filmed in one take. Legendary.

If you need a reminder to take a break, my new favorite band, Kero Kero Bonito, has you covered. They filmed this music video while on tour, setting up a pink little IKEA chair in random public places, donning a pair of sunglasses, and taking a break with a tropical drink in hand.

Need a handmade (AKA thoughtful and cheap) gift? Try these eye masks from A Beautiful Mess.

I need these sparkly tights that Aimee (@songofstyle) wore.

I am so making this cake from Samantha’s Instagram. As you can tell from the ingredients list, it’s not exactly the pinnacle of healthy baking, but hey, it’s my 18th birthday and I WANT IT.

And since I do need a healthy food option for my birthday dinner, I think I might have this healthy scotcheroos recipe from Fit Foodie Finds. Ice cream cake followed by scotcheroos bars - sounds like a balanced meal to me :)

A lot of people ask me what in the world my Boogie Board is and where I got it. I bought mine at Barnes & Noble but here it is on Amazon.

This song is so so beautiful. That’s all I have to say about it.

Here’s a tool that you can use to track where Santa is. I know it’s early, but you can bookmark it ahead of time. You’re never too old.

I’m such a sucker for Apple commercials. I will literally rewind an ad that’s just a bunch of shots of their new Macbook Air simply because I can’t get over how beautiful the pacing and music are. But this animation about sharing your talents with the world is on a whole other level. Cue the tears.

This is the best and most thorough argument I’ve seen against 30 common excuses that we all give when we’re faced with a challenge we don’t want to tackle.

That’s all for today! Which link was your favorite? What would you add?

Have an amazing week!
